Gentle Care For Your Summer Skin
- Posted on: Jun 19 2019
Of course, summer is the time to put your feet up and enjoy the time to relax. However, it is not the time to be neglecting your skin care routine! These summer months are when the sun’s rays are at their most damaging levels. Having a quality sunscreen in your arsenal is important! At Azul, we recommend our Satin Eclipse tinted sunscreen. This sunscreen blocks infrared light as well as UVA/UVB rays, offering the most complete sun protection with an SPF of 34. The skin is being protected, repaired, and hydrated with the slow release of antioxidants, vitamins C and E. It works great as a primer and can be worn under your daily makeup or on its own!
After being in this Florida/summer heat it is a great idea to wind down the day with a cool shower! Hot showers after sun exposure can further dry skin. After excess sweating, a cool shower helps to keep skin clear and reduced risk of acne breakouts. Wide-brim hats are also all the rage this season. A baseball cap just won’t due, we need sun protection from all angles!
Summer weather can be especially harsh on our fragile skin around the eyes. Azul Skin Health is now offering a new Luxe Eye Kit that will restore and defend against damage to this special area. The kit contains 3 luxe products each containing a precious metal known to aid in skin health and renewal. Prevent and fight tired-looking eyes with something effective – we’re fortifying you with gold, platinum, copper and titanium — plus a whole host of peptides and growth factors.
Stay hydrated in the heat. Drinking plenty of water will help to detoxify and maintain the moisture balance in your body and skin. Before applying your sunscreens, moisturizers, and makeup, make sure to exfoliate! Your makeup will last longer and feel smoother on hydrated, exfoliated skin. Prevention is key in these heated months. Take care to wear those floppy hats, protect your eyes and skin, and wash away the debris of the day in cool water for best results!
